Understanding Commercial Lines Applications Course 1 and 2.

Commercial lines agents, have you been wondering where you can get help in filling out those confusing Acord applications your underwriters either don’t know or won’t help you with? Are you newly licensed or about to be?

Gold Coast is now offering a full-day course of hands-on training in commercial lines taught by instructors who have many years of experience in both retail agencies and underwriting. You get both ends of the equation. This course will help you to expand your ability to write more profitable business. Along with the classroom training, you will receive a manual of reference material that you will use over and over again. This course gives you the knowledge and tools that can take years for you to acquire on your own. Jumpstart your career!

The class manual includes Acord applications, fire protection class codes, explanations of the bases for general liability classifications, building construction classifications, binding procedures and the legal responsibilities of the agent.

The courses provides ample time for questions and answers to enhance the student’s understanding of the material. Course 1 gives the student the training and basic knowledge necessary to discuss property, liability, inland marine and umbrella coverages with their client. Course 2 covers Commercial Auto (including trucking), Garage, and Worker's Compensation. It teaches how to prepare applications that contain enough information for the underwriter to give a bindable quote.
